Miriam Cohen's Open Letter Published in La Presse

On May 30, Professor Miriam Cohen published an open letter in La Presse on the capacity of international law to combat climate change.

In this letter, Professor Cohen noted the current trend of increasingly frequent analysis of the international obligations of States in the face of the climate emergency by international bodies.

Encouraged by a groundbreaking advisory opinion from the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, Professor Cohen expressed her optimism that a better understanding of international climate-related obligations will undoubtedly lead to more concrete measures to combat climate change.
