New grant from the Canada Social Sciences and Humanities Research council!
Professor Miriam Cohen is happy to announce that she was a awarded a new Partnership Engage Grant from the Canada Social Sciences and Humanities Research council. This grant was awarded for the project on reparations for climate change which she is directing with professors Vladyslav Lanovoy (Université Laval) and Armando Rocha (Universidade Católica Portuguesa), and Dr. Maria Antonia Tigre (Sabin Center for Climate Change Law, Columbia University), in partnership with the Global Network for Human Rights and the Environment.
The goal of this partnership is to shed light on the obstacles related to reparations for climate change and to analyze decisions and advisory opinions from the main regional and international jurisdictions in matters relating to climate change.
A first publication was recently posted on the Verfassungsblog/Climate Law Blog symposium: https://verfassungsblog.de/reparation-for-climate-change-at-the-ecthr/.
