Research visit in 2024

Professor Miriam Cohen undertook several research trips in 2024 as part of her year of study for her research project on reparations and international climate justice. Professor Cohen stayed at the Université Côte d'Azur in France, the Universidade de São Paulo in Brazil, the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain, and the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Germany.

During her two-month research stay at the Université Côte d'Azur, she developed her research on international justice and reparations for human rights violations.

At the Max Planck Institute in Heidelberg, Germany, Professor Cohen was awarded a fellowship for her research project. Researchers at this institute conduct research on fundamental issues and current developments in the fields of public international law, European Union law, and the constitutional and administrative law of individual states, in collaboration with numerous visiting scholars from around the world. The Institute's library is the largest in Europe in these fields and one of the most comprehensive in the world.
