The Chair is pleased to announce that Professor Miriam Cohen, along with her colleagues Camille Martini (Laval University), Maria Antonia Tigre (Sabin Centre for Climate Change Law) and Armando Rocha (Portuguese Catholic University), have been awarded the Hsu Mo Prize. The award was presented to them in Taipei during the International Law Association–American Society of International Law Asia-Pacific Research Forum 2025, which took place on 7 and 8 July, in the presence of former Taiwanese President Ying-jeou Ma.
Named after a distinguished jurist and former judge at the International Court of Justice (1946-1956), this award recognizes excellence in research in the fields of international law and diplomacy.
The award-winning article is part of a collaborative research project on issues of responsibility and redress in relation to climate change. Led by Professor Cohen, the project also includes Dr. Maria Antonia Tigre, Armando Rocha and Vladyslav Lanovoy (Laval University). It is supported by SSHRC-CRSH and the Georg Stellari Fund.
