La constitutionnalisation des exceptions au droit d’auteur? Le cas des personnes avec une déficience visuelle

online event

This Thursday, Professor Miriam Cohen will act as moderator for Association littéraire et artistique Canada's conference "Constitutionalising Exceptions? A Copyright Case Concerning the Visually Impaired."

In the words of ALAI Canada :
"The constitutional court of South Africa declared parts of the copyright act of that country unconstitutional and discriminatory because they failed to provide for people with visual and print disabilities. Come and learn about the meaning of the decision in light of constitutional law and of the Marrakesh treaty, the first international instrument to deal only with a category of copyright exceptions, i.e., those for the blind and visually impaired, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year."
