Silviana Cocan holds a doctorate in law from Université de Bordeaux and Université Laval. She is currently a lecturer, community internship coordinator and postdoctoral researcher at Université de Montréal's Faculty of Law. She is the recipient of a postdoctoral fellowship as part of the Mitacs Elevation program (2020-2022). Her research interests include public international law, international human rights law, international refugee and migration law and comparative law.
