Professor Miriam Cohen Awarded For Her Book

Professor Miriam Cohen wins the Quebec Bar Foundation's first prize in the 2022 Legal Competition (New Author category) for her book Realizing Reparative Justice for International Crimes: From Theory to Practice (Cambridge University Press, 2020).

As reported by the Centre de recherche en droit public, the members of the jury consider that the book "makes an exceptionally original and erudite contribution to legal research. The author reflects on a law in the making. Although it deals with international law, the subject of the book is very relevant even in the Canadian and Quebec context. The subject is innovative, the book is elegantly written and the underlying research, with sources that are difficult to handle, is remarkable in its scope and thoroughness. The committee also highlights the quality of the editing of this book" [free translation].
