Enéas Xavier de Oliveira Junior holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in law from the Methodist University of Piracicaba, Brazil. A former university professor and lawyer specializing in environmental law, he has over ten years' experience working for various non-governmental organizations. Researcher within LACLIMA (Latin American Climate Lawyers Initiative for Mobilizing Action) as part of the monitoring of States' climate commitments at the Conferences of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement. A doctoral candidate in law at the Université de Montréal, his thesis research focuses on the participation of civil society in United Nations conferences on climate change.
