Poutine, Bush, Blair, tous des criminels de guerre ? Entrevue de Miriam Cohen

Professor Miriam Cohen is invited to an interview with Stéphane Baillargeon, Le Devoir. As the International Criminal Court (ICC) issues an arrest warrant against Putin for alleged war crimes, Dr. Cohen sheds light on the ICC's jurisdiction and the importance of the warrant.

Dr. Cohen invites us to understand why former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, or former American President George W. Bush were not treated to the same ICC warrant by shedding light on the international community's support for Ukraine.

The interview concludes by inviting us to better understand the role of the ICC in regards to war crimes, particularly with respect to the many states that have not ratified the Rome Statute, while observing the preliminary steps taken by the ICC prior to the issuance of an arrest warrant.
